Jackie Sherrill was re-signed after the 1985 season and was forced to resign after 1988 (year 3)

R.C. Slocum was given a 7-year guaranteed contract after the 1998 season. He was fired after the 2002 season (year 4)

Dennis Franchione was given a 6-year guaranteed contract after the 2004 season. He "resigned" after the 2007 season (year 3)

Mike Sherman was given a 6-year guaranteed contract when he signed in 2008. He was fired after the 2011 season (year 4)

Kevin Sumlin was given a 6-year guaranteed contract after the 2013 season. He's currently in year 3.

Sumlin is going to be the Ags coach next year. Like it or not, A&M not getting rid of him this year.

I hope he is given ridiculous expectations for next season that he can't possibly meet such as:

-Can't lose a single home game
-Must win SEC West outright
-Must win 11+

I'm just tired of watching A&M getting knocked off the line of scrimmage on defense. Tired of seeing teams gouge us up the middle. Tired of knowing that vs Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss that the other team is much much much more physical than us. Our current recruiting shows this trend will continue.

Have a similar problem on offense with physicality.

Sumlin is played out but I think he is probably coming back barring a 40 point beat down by LSU at Kyle Field. Even then I think he is likely back.

If Ole Miss is pushing you off the LOS, you've got a problem. Their Offense is soft as fresh dog shite.
