If not, I am interested to see how well the LSU O line can hold up in pass protection, if at all. I think we will try to start off by getting the passing game going, but it will be impossible if Etling is running for his life every time he drops back. We don't need 5 seconds, we just need 1 to 2 seconds for him to find the guys underneath for quick 5 to 10 yard gains. If we can't get any time in the passing game, I don't see how we get the running game going. If we can get some rhythm going, I can see the running game begin to find a groove as well.

We were discussing this in the other thread. I am still waiting for any LSU poster to tell me how their OL has improved over last year. If they don't do a better job at pass protection and run blocking too spring LF7 and Guice, then I don't see how LSU wins this game if they can't keep Bama's Front 7 out of the backfield.

Well, it started off very shaky, and we've been snakebitten by a ton of injuries on the O line. We apparently have everyone back, and I think we will need Weathersby in particular. I think we've improved because Weathersby and Teuhema are more seasoned and ready for this environment. Pocic started off shaky as well and seems to be playing like himself again.

This group has been much better at run blocking than pass blocking however. That's why I'm very worried about our ability to get the passing game going, which I think we're going to try to do so we can then provide our RBs with space. We can't allow the safeties to jump us on the run every time.

Talking about safeties, I'm sorry for Eddie Jackson, but glad he's not playing. That could be a key to this game.
