This same post has been made by multiple people on different boards:

When Hurd fumbled at the goal line in the GA game, CBJ got in his face. He told Butch to frick off and then said that he was the team and that we would not win another game without him. Got benched of course. Kamara went in but later in the half was gassed and they tried to put Hurd back in but he refused. He eventually went in and scored on the pass after half. After that he came back to the sideline and said he was not going back in the game (to me this explains why he still had his hat at the end of the game. If he had a concussion, he would have had it taken away per protocol).

Next week he no showed practice M-W and came back Thursday (not injured as was reported). When he came back, Butch put it to the team to decide whether he would play. They voted that he could come back but should be suspended for the A&M game (thus he did not travel). Program put out that he was injured to cover that.

At USCjr he was not playing great and Kelly started getting reps and moving the ball. Hurd got PO'd and when Kelly got dinged up they called his number and he refused to go in the game. Carlin went in and then caused the fumble with Dobbs on that series. Dobbs got in Hurd's face on the sideline (not typical for Dobbs) about quitting on the team. He refused to play the rest of the game. Kept his helmet. Not injured.

Sunday night another team meeting to decide what the players wanted to do about him. Several called him out for quitting on the team and being selfish. He then walked out of the meeting. They then made up the transfer story to cover.

Sounds like Hurd is a little bitch. And Butch as usual is a chronic liar.

Butch is a liar. But if this is true, I understand why Jones wouldn't humiliate Hurd to the media.

There was no confrontation between CBJ and Hurd after the fumble.

He suffered a head injury against UGA but it was not deemed a concussion by the medical staff. Stayed in and caught a TD pass on that drive. Was evaluated and told the medical staff he was not 100%. Never got benched.

He was at the facility every day the next week getting treatment but he decided he couldn't go. Team had no idea what was going on and expected him to play until it was reported he wouldn't travel on the Thursday before the game. The part about a team vote is totally fabricated.

Had a lot of people in his ear and as I said yesterday had told many people he was done playing RB in the 2 weeks leading up to S. Carolina. After the hit he took on a sweep to Byrd and then the 3 carries on the goal line he opted not to go back in.

Dobbs never got in his face and he is very close to Kelly and Kamara.

There were many players called out in the meeting including Hurd and after it was over he met with a handful of them and let them know he was leaving.

There has never been any confrontation in any of this outside of the team meeting Sunday.

If it's true it's the "right" thing for Butch to do by not calling him out on his diva bitchness but Hurd needs to be taught his place it seems. He's not the star of the show, and won't be anywhere unless he goes to a lower tier school

This message board post is too juicy to be entirely factual, or factual at all

It's a hard situation to explain.

He was not some flamboyant cancer to the team at all. Very quiet, keep to himself guy even when things were going well.

One of the better players on the team as well and worked hard on his own. Most players just let him be and didn't pay his injuries/absence much attention UGA/A&M week.

There are some people in his inner circle though that likely got in his ear and all the rumors that everyone saw kind of seeped in to the team Alabama week but even up to S. Carolina week I'd say most guys on the team trusted him and wanted him out there with them.

Even after he said he was leaving I don't think there is any will from his teammates. Just kind of a strange decision, which was influenced heavily by people around him that aren't associated with the program.

I wish him well.

Both Kelly and Carlin have referred to Kamara as their big brother, neither have spoken of Hurd with such reverence, at least not publicly.

There is no ill will from Hurd towards them at all and they get along well. Alvin is closer to everyone, but that is because Jalen is so introverted.

He did not even want to be playing the same position as them the past two weeks, why would he be bothered by their production?

I guess i dnt really care. Losing him does absolutely zero to the teams production. He has been shite all year. Good bye and good luck..... im more frustrated with how we were prepared (or lack or) for south carolina. Our play calling was horrendous, dobbs was throwing balls in the dirt, zero energy, it was just a bad overall performance with the exception of berry, barnett, and JJ. Hopefully this will light a spark in them, we win out, fla loses two and we have a chance. at the end of the day its just football, enjoy the wins as we get them, and move on past the loss when they happen. Its not the end of the world.

Thanks for the info.

I noticed after Hurd's touchdown Saturday that he did not get any high fives and almost no acknowledgement at all from his teammates when he walked back to the bench. Almost like he was iced out or something.

Strange situation all the way around. Do you put much of the blame for this situation on Lyle? Or more on Hurd and his people?

Hurd's inner circle would be who I would blame.

Skip to the 33:47 mark for Hurd's touchdown and the strange reaction on the sidelines

Dobbs said something to Hurd after the fumble

Hard to tell, but he's clearly pissed

He was talking to Carlin there after he tried to take the handoff on the RPO.

No no, he gets up off the bench and walks right over to Hurd. @ the 1:59:40 mark
