Our university academic fund raising is objectively terrible. I haven't received a mailer/phone call from LSU in almost 10 years.
My wife receives them all the time from her Alma mater, probably every month. Even when we move they find her.
Anecdotal, but I've heard the same from other grads. If you don't make constant contact it is hard to raise money.

I don't think i've received a single phone call or letter from LSU asking for donations. I regularly receive phone calls from my undergrad to talk about academic and athletic donations. As such, I donate far more to my undergrad.
