I don't really care what he did at Ole Miss 10 years ago. Look at what other great coaches have done early in their careers.

Pete Carroll took over the Jets (8-8 in 1993) and got fired after going 6-10 his first season. He took over the 1995 AFC Champion New England Patriots, proceeded to go 10-6, 9-7 and 8-8 and got fired again.

Saban hardly set the world on fire with his 34-21-1 record at Michigan State

Bill Belichick had a career record of 41-55 after 5 NFL seasons.

These are HORRIBLE points.

Bellichick had an 11-5 year with the Browns and was better than both his predecessor and successor. In the NFL. And he was an unreal DC.

Pete Carroll was a very successful D coordinator and was a better than .500 coach in the NFL.

Saban? Are you serious? He had a winning record, rebuilt that MSU program, and was an extremely respected defensive mind.

How are you comparing any of these brilliant head coaches to Ed Orgeron? You should feel ashamed. Ed O went 3-21 in the SEC, was worse than both his predecessor and successor, and trend DOWNWARDS at the one program he was in charge of.

Other than that, he's never been a head coach. He's never built or maintained any program other than Ole Miss. He's also never been a coordinator, much less a successful coordinator.

Again, answer these three questions:

1. Why has no other good football program even interviewed Ed Orgeron to be their HC?

2. If Ed Orgeron became the coach at Alabama, Arkansas, or A&M, would you be nervous? Would it be scary to play against him as HC in our division?

3. If he was from New Jersey, would you still want him to be HC with that resume?
