who is resigned to defeat? I just don't agree with saying stuff like "LSU will beat bama this year because _____" don't say it like its a fact when its an opinion.

I think part of being a fan for a lot of people in dealing in absolutes that aren't there. You are 100% correct in theory, I just think in actuality there is nothing wrong with a little hope and hyperbole.
Personally I am happy with having a more reasonable point of view, but I don't think just because someone throws a little hyperbole in a statement means that it should be open hunting season on the poster and their opinions expressed.
