I agree I don't think this will be a high scoring game. Both defenses are too good and will be a typical 21-20, 20-17 type of game.

If anything Alabama should be a little worried only due to the fact they have already given up 43 and 30 where as LSU has only given up 21. This only tells me that Alabama's defense is a little more prone to giving up a few more points in spurts.

Alabama was leading Ole Miss 48-30 with 3 minutes to play in that game (and 23 of those were offensive points). Ole Miss then got hot, made a bunch of long throws (with Humphrey, Jackson, Foster and Fitzpatrick all out) and scored 13 quick points.

Alabama was leading Arkansas 42-17 with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. A combo of 1st and 2nd team defenders got complacent and started getting beat. Arkansas kept their 1st team in the whole game (including while down 49-24 with 4 minutes left) and scored a few late TDs.

This isn't to say those stats don't count, but there is a little of bit of context there. Alabama has a tendency to take leads and then give up yards and points. We've done more than a few times in the last few years.

Saban nearly had an aneurysm on the sideline in the last minutes in those games when the defensive backups allowed those garbage points to be scored.
