What is the difference between 6 and 7...they're both medical marijuana right?

From what I understand:
6 - Covers fewer medical conditions and more heavily favorites corporate dispensaries
Initiated Act 7 - Covers more medical conditions and favors non-profit dispensaries and (I think) growing for your own use.
