You can't blame people for being apprehensive about AU with their preseason thoughts. And that circus Gus put on the field in the early season vs Clemson reinforced the preseason thoughts even further.

But - we now see that the defense is solid for the first time in years and they are capable of carrying their share of the load to take the pressure off the O.

Now that Gus "appears" to have stepped away and let his OC do his job, we saw a more productive offense against ULM & MSU.
