Like it or not, we have to give these coaches a couple of years b4 we really know if they can recruit and if they can coach. Facilities can help, coaches are more important. If we were in Miami it might not matter as much.

BO has been fairly clear that he wants to compete for championships and a scheme that's more sophisticated than a high school scheme has to be part of that. He's not just changing the scheme, he's changing the culture which is gonna take more than 5 games. They keep taking things out to simplify it, but I'm starting to wonder if we are Dline and simple scheme U.

So do you give up and dump the scheme for better games in the short run? Do you try to phase it in (if that's possible)? Do you stick with it until they get it? All questions I bet the coaches ask themselves on a weekly basis. I don't see any signs of arrogance or incompetence. Change is not easy. For the fans as much as the players.

Cross says "significant changes" made to the defense during the bye week.

We'll see, at least they are trying to fix the problem beyond "play better"

I read he keeps pulling more reads out of the Defense.
