I have to laugh at the woe is we attitude about recruiting on message boards...the Florida State College for Women is taking our lunch money...the sky is falling.
Well the girls school is currently sitting in the freaking polls thanks to the media at 2-3 some help all that recruiting did them huh? Relax, we have a coach who can develop talent.

The crazy theme to me is this "we may have to just deal with being a second tier program," thing I'm hearing everywhere from here to call-in shows. It seems somehow wrapped up in thinking that because there is a push to make Florida a top 10 public uni that the powers-that-be are fine with football being just so so. That's just flat not true.
My frustration comes from knowing that we will be competing for NCs again someday and wishing it would happen sooner than later, not thinking the best days are all behind us now.
No one, and I mean NO ONE, in the athletics department or the administration wants Florida to end up like Nebraska for example, and there are systemic reasons - mainly being in Florida and not Nebraska - that that fate is not going to be our destiny. Having a lost decade, which is pretty much what this is turning into (7 or 8 years at least it seems), sucks for sure. But all this throwing in the towel on the program for the rest of time is just ridiculous.

What is all this doom and gloom about? Uga hasn't made a title game since 1980. Tennessee? 1998. Florida st sucked from 2003 to their title in 2014. Anybody remember the last time Miami was ranked unroll this year? I don't.
Point is time is cyclical.no one is going to be good forever. We may lose again this week. Bout a potential 9 3 season is nothing to be mad at especially after what we went through with the last coach.
