Meh. Kul was done here. Nothing Odom could have done. Hell, he left once already and GP had to talk him back in. Not a chance he was going to stay once GP left. I also don't know he is DC material. Despite his success, he still isn't one. One has to wonder why.
Whether Cross is the answer and whether the new scheme will work...I dunno. It really does bring back feelings I had about Ricker and the OL and their change of scheme.

The scheme change has to be Odom's. You don't hire a DC without going in depth in discussions about philosophy.
I don't get the Cross comparison to Ricker. Ricker had 2 years as an OL coach at a bad Illinois program. While Cross has years of experience both in the NFL and College. Several of his college experience under Patterson, one of the top defensive minds at the college level.
The philosophy is different, it's obviously taking some time for the players to adjust.
