My thoughts exactly. 12k crammed into a smaller, more intimate space would be very intimidating and LOUD! Leave the big arenas for the NBA. Even when our crowd gets loud and into games its just blah most of the time. The students have shitty seats still. Imagine if they were right on top of the action. They'd fill that place up. Granted the product on the floor has to improve.

Until they find a way to make season ticket holders come to games or donate their tickets, there will still be empty seats regardless of how small the arena is

Yea, I think somewhere between 10-13K is the best range.

Oregon - Matthew Knight Arena (12,364) (opened 2011) ($242M in 2017 $s)


Southern Cal - Galen Center (10,258) (opened 2006) ($175M in 2017 $)



Virginia - John Paul Jones Arena (14,858) ($171M in 2017 $)
