Maybe it's just me, but I think we've seen the last of King. Even if we haven't I doubt he lives up to the hype and can be a big contributor like we hope. Seems so raw and wild with his shots.
Hopefully Giddens can be the inside scoring presence we all hope for. Taylor cannot defend the paint and is useless scoring, unless it's a right hook.

I just want us to be average shooting damn free throws! We'd have at least a couple of more wins if we were decent from the charity stripe. Very disappointing year. I didn't know were in as bad a shape as we are in. Grant really sucked arse and took this program to the dumpster. Recruiting will be tough this year. What does Avery sell them? Last year he could say we got close and you could be the difference. What's the pitch this year? We sucked arse, plenty of chances for early PT? Basketball at Alabama is a fragile thing. If it's good, it gets support and it thrives. But if it goes bad, it snowballs real quickly to dumpster fire. Like it did under Hobbes and Grant. It takes a herculean effort to get back to just good. I hope Avery is good enough.

Alabama and Auburn both hit 24 FGs each. They still won by 20. Auburn isn't that good (although they were really good today), the difference was just they had 42 FTs to our 19. They hit more FTs than we attempted. That's ridiculous. Then at the end they hit a couple of 3s, we gave up, and the floodgates opened. I'm not gonna blame this loss on just the refs or just our bad play, it was both. We just need to make sure to beat Auburn at home. If we get swept, Avery will be 1-3 against them. I'm pretty confident we will win at home though, we usually have a pretty good (sometimes sold out) crowd.

I'm watching the Miami-Duke game right now, the Cameron Crazies are going crazy as Duke makes a nice comeback. I'm CRAVING an atmosphere like that one day for basketball! And Miami isn't even ranked.
I'm hoping between Avery and the new AD they can build this program into a powerhouse, get a new arena built that's smaller and basketball only that's intimidating and loud. I guess I can dream though
