Georgia is basically a one man team. Shut down Frazier and we'll win. Especially since they won't have Maten. And we've been pretty good about shutting down key players.

We don't know for sure Maten won't play. But yea, if Maten is out, I like our odds.

After the game, Riley had on his "Big Dance 2017" shirt that was given to the team before the season. Looks like they still are trying to achieve that goal.

Interesting quote from Avery Johnson on his message to the team this week / how they responded after early struggles at Missouri:
“I don’t think coaching is always Xs and Os. I think sometimes coaches get too much credit, but I will say this: I totally changed their routine, OK, whatever difference that made. After practice yesterday, we checked into a hotel, OK. We didn’t go home, OK. We went to a hotel, we checked in and this is the first time that they’re going to go home, after this game. So we spent the night in a hotel, we had meetings last night in a hotel, we watched video, we had a team meal, we got up early this morning, about 6:30, and came to the gym. We got some shots up, we shot for about an hour then went back, rested and we watched some more film. So we just had to radically kind of change our program because I didn’t like the looks in their eyes after our last couple of home games. And we’re going to maintain that program. I liked the way we shot the ball today. We’re a much better shooting team than what I’ve seen all year, and I’m glad we shot it better today and I’m glad we took better care of the basketball. Twenty assists on 10 turnovers, pretty good for our team, for those of you who have been watching us all year.”

I love how brutally honest he is.
His quote when asked if he'd ever lost 13 in a row was hilarious too. "I don't know, maybe with the Nets, probably why I got fired".

Looks like he won't play against us

Greatest walk on moment of all time still the Jason Reese BALLS IN THE FACE dunk against Auburn in the early 2000s
Still remember the video with highlights from that game with the Muse's "I Want it Now" playing. Started off with the "Reese" chants. One of my favorite Bama basketball games.

Yes! The old CrimsonTradition video. We just watched that thing on loop for like a month.
I remember we almost left but stuck around to see if we could score 100 points. My buddy was literally sprinting up and down the rows squealing. It was unbelievable. Kennedy Winston and Jean Felix were losing their mind on the bench. It was awesome.

Bubble Watch update:
Lunardi has us in his "next 4 out".
Also, someone asked Jerry Palm is we win out in the regular season are we in and he said "That is a certainty".

If we win out our RPI will be around 45-50. If we lose 1 of the road games it will be around 60. Anything else and it doesn't really matter.

Gotta go at least 3-1 in these next 4. Have to beat A&M and Ole Miss. Have to win at least 1/2 in the UGA and at Tennessee games

He said that's a certainty because someone asked if we win out. That would imply we win the conference tournament too. Palm does that for nearly all of his responses
His bracket today has us as his first team out.

Dear god I hope our offense plays like they did yesterday for the remainder of the year.

From Marc Weiszer: Georgia forward Yante Maten has a right knee sprain. He is out indefinitely. No surgery expected to be needed.
Hopefully his knee feels better on Friday.

Frazier is a suspect defender. If we could attack him and get Ogbeide sitting with some fouls trying to help on defense, we could dominate the glass with Maten out

Very tall order but if they could win the next four, Alabama would pretty much be a lock.
Along with 45-50 RPI and a 50% record against RPI top 100 opponents, they would have 7 SEC road wins!, and likely finish 3rd in the SEC.

If we win out we'll be in heading to Nashville. If we lose 1 of the road games we'll squarely on the bubble. If we lose more than 1 we'll have to make a run and hope the bubble softens.
