we could have a stickied thread for those that will blame Georgia football failures on the "Right Reverend" for years to come.

Nobody will be blaming richt in year 3.

It's perfectly within reason to recognize the bind richt has put us in in year 1. Our absolutely horrendous situation at OL, kicker, DL, and WR are all on richt and the former staff. Sure it's these guys' jobs to coach em up, but you can only work with what you're given.

Absolutely correct. But check it out. The ones screaming "It's all Richt's fault!" are the same ones that can't stand to give Smart his share of the blame, and goes ballistic on anyone that would dare to say Nicholls was a poor effort.

I loved Richt, but I have come to believe that he could not get us to the next level, and I was ok when he was fired. I was disappointed that he was unable to complete the job, but it is what it is.

I was also pleased that we were able to land Smart. I think he brings a fire and determination that was lacking. I also believe he can move us up the ladder, but it will take time. However, I also know as a first year head coach he will make mistakes, and I have no trouble saying that.

Seems like the people that supported Richt had no trouble with pointing out his deficiencies, but the Richt Haters Club just can't bring themselves to admit that Kirby Smart can and will make mistakes. Somehow they are tying Kirbys success/failure to Richt, meaning that if Kirby succeeds it proves their point about Richt, but if Smart fails it somehow validates Richt's tenure. It's surreal, really.
