geographically neither of the add ons made sense, especially when you consider the substantially better programs to choose from that were actually in the region. we were gonna have the texas tv market anyway. a&m has to have a measuring stick now that texas has fallen off the map. its not like those folks were gonna stop watching good football

Texas had made it clear it would never join sec. The university will go independent before it does that. The sec actually got a steal with a&m. losing Nebraska and a&m where huge blows to the big twelve.
