You know that yards after the catch is factored into YPA, right? He got big yards on the McKenzie pass at NC. More big yards with the McKenzie shuffle pass and more big yards from the Godwin short pass.

That is true. However, if the pass play gained 60 yards, it's a good play regardless of how long the ball is in the air. The QB still made a good decision to get it to the right player. So I think it's still a valid statistic.
