To go along with the insecurity there is lots of delusion. They really are the greatest. There are many conspiracy theories as to why they are not consistent. Coach Bryant, REC, Refs, Coach Saban....It is always about "if only" and wait til next year. When they do have a voodoo victory, i.e. "Punt Bama Punt." "Camback," "Kick 6" they hold on to the moment forever, especially when those type of games are followed by arse kickings....and they generally are.
