He didn't underthrow. He is just really late on his read progression. The kids actually has a rocket.

We have to understand he is a true freshman. He has much growing and adapting to do. One of those adaptations is getting through his reads quicker.

Another adsptation would be playing faster. Anyone who has played beyond high school can atest to playing slower until they got comfortable with the system. Once you became completely comfortable you played faster, reacted quicker, etc..

My hope is we see this process move along sooner rather than later. I'm assuming that is why Saban just played him the majority of the reps Saturday. Get him further along.

He is a little late. If they could stop his "crow hop" I think it would help some

I think this is why we see all out of the play calling we are now. I assume as the season progress we will add things to speed up his play. It just seems right now he is off a little on reads downfield.
