And it's not like we've reduced the acceptance of instate kids.

UA's student enrollment has nearly doubled over the last 10-15 years, and it's been accomplished by recruiting out of state kids.
I don't really like it, and I have a neighbor whose daughter had a Presidential Scholarship offer and went on a visit. He said just about everyone they encountered gave him and his daughter the cold shoulder while they seemed to bend over backwards for the out of state kids on the visit. He's an alum and was so bothered by it he no longer joins the alumni association and gave up his Tide Pride tickets. His daughter is now at Auburn.
