This is key to me, aside from the obvious talent differences between Bateman and hurts. They turn the ball over the exact same.

On the first throw Bateman had to Stewart last Saturday, "the one that was under thrown" had the CB not tripped it's an interception all day long in any league in CFB. He had a really nasty interception as well.

Hurts had two picks but let me clear up one of them. It was a 2 min drill like the game is over when the clock hits 0. It was the last pass, on the last second, Hail Mary to the end zone. I don't really think that's a normal situation.

His only real pick was a pass across his body rolling to the right where the reliever was open but T Brown closed the distance and took it.

On that front him and Bateman are at least equal.

At this point the questions seems to be when, not if Hurts takes the keys from Bateman. I still believe Bateman starts against USC, if for no other reason than to keep Hurts calm and focused game week. He is after all, only 18 years old and USC has some of the best corners in the country.

One thing I would assume is they are going up against the 1's correct? I mean we are still probably the most talented D in college...us or maybe LSU...SoCal has some pretty good DB's...so that gives me some comfort.

Hey Boz- how is Ro. Foster progressing? Can we assume we will see him starting....and it sounds like Tony Brown is still looking good and should see the field by October
