The only thing I have to add to this thread is that without a doubt, you have to recruit at a high level to win championships in today's game. Just take a look at the entire history of SEC champions since the championship game was put in place. I am almost certain every one of the teams that won the champ were top 10-15 recruiting classes in the country. Talent alone cannot win, that is correct. But you must have the talent to win championships is also correct.

I think Bert is a good coach. But I don't know if or ever Arky will make it to the promised land. To compare Arkansas and say they are eye level with LSU or Auburn...absurd. Like it or not, but hardware is the end all be all. It is Alabamas world and we all live in it. But auburn, lsu, florida all have recent national titles...georgia recent sec titles...tenn late 90s nat'l and sec titles...arky...no titles. It's a simple fact.

This is only the start of Bret's 4th year, we have not had a coach in years that actually tried to build the whole team. Going forward we won't have major drop in talent, because he does a great job of bringing in players that fit our rugged
physical system. We have 4* players all over the field now from past recruiting, plus some huge surprises like Drew Morgan who was a 3* stud that tore it up last year.

We won't have many peaks and valleys that we had with Petrino/Nutt. Bret is very calculating and I think we will see going forward his type physical play he wants to have. Bama,LSU has always had this type play, Arkansas is getting there as well, but have a well rounded offense that can run or pass equally and stop the run on defense. We stopped Fournette and Derek Henry from getting 100 yards last year, expect the same this year against the run.

Until Bama loses Saban, which I think he will be there 7/8 more years no one is going to steal there candy, but the rest can be beaten.
