His late ones Georgia or anywhere had issues. Not the point. When UT is doing well Georgia isn't an issue when UT wants to go in, and play. To much talent for Georgia to build a fence for others to come in that need too. Especially close ones like UT.

Also...Fulmers bigger recruiting issue in his later years was brought on by his decision to go chasing the younger talented QB brothers of players, and getting screwed. Chasing Jimmy Clausen by having to accept Rick Clausen. Who was no Casey, and could have been a solid 3rd maybe 2nd string backup. Same with CJ Leak, and losing out on Chris Leak to UF. No real good QB options until the end when he got Taj Boyd and Bryce Petty, but that was for not after Kiffin pulled those schollys. Just to leave Dooley with no real good QB option to start his first season.
What happened at UT during the '00s is not comparable to any school in the SEC right now or in the country really. (maybe Auburn could be one to keep an eye on, but who knows). Lots of 'Old Boys Network' complacency issues in the UT AD during that time.
