There is a 60% chance that Harris will improve his QBR in year 2. Out of every SEC 2 year starting QB since 2000 22 of the 35 have increased their QBR on average of 12 pts. Is that enough to win a title. Don't know, but he does have better than a 50/50 chance of improving..

there are more variables than just that. coaching staff changes, attrition, etc. Harris has benefited greatly by LSU hiring a better DC to supplement the team as well as benefiting by returning almost the entire team from last season, a team that would have won 10 games without having McNeese cancelled

This is good stuff.

Can we widdle this down to underclassmen in first year and upperclassmen in second year?

Or returning over half their offense around them (9/11 - C, both RBs, all WRs for LSU)?

Maybe move it back to 1990 to get a larger data set?
