Looks like Jay Jacobs is doing his job to me

The men's sports in particular have been awful, and I'm not even just counting the big-3. We've finished near or at the bottom of the SEC in some of the non-revenue sports (and the revenue ones as well).
He is not a businessman by any means. He's a dumb good-ole-boy bumbling his way through a million dollar business.
I absolutely don't trust him to make a reasonable fire or hire of another football coach.

Supposedly he hired a committee for the last coaching search. And he can't make a coaching decision without the BOT's approval anyway.

All I'm trying to say is that as an Athletic Director running a multi-million dollar operation, he is doing his job. Making money, graduating student-athletes, staying out of NCAA trouble and operating the programs within compliance. He's not on the field coaching or out on the recruiting trail. He made a good hire in Chiz (2010 BCSNC) and he made a good fire in Chiz (2012 shite season), he made a good hire in Gus (2013 SEC champs), he made a good hire in softball and looks like the Pearl hire will be a good one.

Didn't he just get a contact extension within the last year? Someone in a position of authority at AU thinks he's doing his job.
