Alabama will always be the favorite in the west until proven otherwise.

As they should be.

Les' problem is that he is determined to prove he can play smash mouthed football and just line up and run the ball down Alabama's throat and that is never going to happen. A Saban defense is made to defend exactly what Les tries to do and his stubbornness is cost him more games against Alabama than his talent ever has. I would even venture to say that several of those LSU teams that we beat in the past had more talent than Alabama had but it wasn't utilized correctly.

Nailed it. Les hasn't decided that he needs to coach in 2016 just yet. He's still in the 70s and 80s.

Also, I have never understood why they can't seem to develop a QB down there. He has had plenty of talent and not only have they not gotten better they actually seem to get worse. I just don't understand him some time.

We've had shitty QB coaches once Jimbo left. However, Mettenberger absolutely got better from 2012-2013. Also throw in the fact that we still refuse to recruit a QB that will run what Les wants to run. We get these dual threat guys constantly then try to turn them into under center play-action pocket guys. It's really mind boggling.

I agree with that. I can;t remember the kids name that was recruited as a QB I think and he never even got a shot. When he committed to LSU he was on TV and the radio trying to recruit other players. He had a ton of personality and seemed like a great positive influence on the team and every time he touched the ball it seemed like he would go for 50 or 60 yards and he would play about 4 plays a game. I would sit there and watch the TV and just think WTF is he thinking not having that kid in the game.
