Camp surprise/disappointment

Surprise- Demetrios Mason seems to be turning heads. Walters actually mentioned him as possibly the fastest player on the team. Unknown 2* that was completely under the radar.

Disappointment- Nate Strong seems to have arrived in poor shape, and isn't factoring into the RB depth much at the moment.

Strong was mentioned in yesterday's practice report, having a couple of nice runs.

If you listened to an interview that Ford did...it was less than glowing.

Gabe said he thought Crockett would be the number 2 RB. If that comes to fruition then Strong is no 4, at best.

Some of the players were beaming about Strong making some long runs. Maybe you were on the LSU Tigers forum.

Yeah, like I said. Ford didn't seem too impressed but a lot can change. I imagine it would be a pretty open battle until game prep.

It would be ideal if we could redshirt Crockett, but hey...if he's too good to sit then that is positive too.
