Maybe if I'd lived in TX or the South longer growing up, I'd have gotten tired of it or just wanted a change in climate. Lived in enough places to know what I like beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Ah that makes sense, actually.
I've never had heatstroke and never sunburn, so the heat is just like whatever to me, I guess.
That feeling of having cold hands when I lived further north just never set right w/ me. Negative experiences do color perception.

I do think San Francisco would be a climate that would get old. It's always slightly chilly. Always. I think eventually the lack of any real season variation from 'chilly' would gradually drive you mad. I could be wrong though.
