You must have not been born during the Jordan Era. Fan support and political support during that time was heavy tilted toward UAt during those years. Throw in the Bear's recruiting tactic(see Junction Boys), and you have a claim that Jordan was one of the most underrated coaches in SEC history.

Jerdan had just won a NC and had Auburn rolling before Beat ever got to Bama. He had a tremendous head start and still got his arse handed to him by Bryant.
