Colt McCoy
Gino Torretta

Honorable mention:
Kenny Trill
Greyson Lambert
People thought these guys were good, then Alabama effectively ended their careers.

For whatever reason, great players usually play well against Alabama

Far be it from me to defend the sips, but didn't Colt play all of about 3 snaps against Bama before you effectively ripped his arm off?

Not sure I can put that on him.

There was a span of 6 years in the late 80's where A&M played 5 Heisman winners.

We owned them every time (well, sort of).

'85 - Bo (Actually 1986 Cotton Bowl): OK, he was still offensive MVP, but we won going away and stopped him twice on 4th down in last quarter.

'87 - Tim Brown (Actually 1988 Cotton Bowl): The In-Timmy-dation game where he lost his cool at the end and was ejected in a blow out.

'88 - Barry Sanders: We held him to his 2nd lowest yardage of the season. OK, it was still something like 165 yards, and we lost by 37, but we sucked a lot less than most.

'89 - Andre Ware: The Run & Shoot meets the Blitz & Destroy (Slocum's words). UH came in undefeated and averaging about 92 points a game. We won 17-13 and sacked Ware 6 times, including once that looked like he was decapitated.

'90 - Ty Detmer: BYU complains that they deserve a better bowl opponent than A&M. We win 65-14 (and it was not that close) and separate BOTH of his shoulders.
