Most famous is a term that transcends generations. Thus, 57 years after the fact, ESPN still runs the replay of Cannon's play every October.
It was a game between #1 and #3 as I recall. It also prevented Ole Miss from winning the MNC that year which they surely would have with a victory that Halloween night.

That play is is for me.
The Duke over Ky buzzer-beater would be it for round-ball.

It was 1959 and I listened to the game at my grandmother's house..Cannon was my hero. Unfortunately, Ole Miss pulled a "Bama" on LSU at the end of the year in the Sugar Bowl and beat them in a rematch.......21-0!
Now that's spooky!
