If he wants to be he could be at this point. If you aspire to be a HC in CFB you probably couldn't ask for a better spring board right now than a DC at Bama under Saban.
But I seriously doubt he'll ever make a good HC. He's never been one at any level and with his personality I could easily see him going down in flames in a similar manner as Steve Sarkisian.
