Can someone with a better understanding than me comment on whether the problem may be worth the blocking schemes as opposed to talent or coaching? Is there a way we could be blocking smarter? This is a playbook issue rather than technique.

Blocking schemes & coaching go hand in hand and most here believe this was the issue. Ricker came on board & brought in a new blocking scheme that NO ONE seemed to pick up so both the last 2 yrs. the scheme was scrapped.
Yes.....keep the defensive guy off of your QB & RBs until PAST the LOS
