Then he needs to learn how to play the run better. aTm was dead last in SEC play in rush defense. That is why teams did not pass on them. They did not need to.

Garrett was 3rd in the league in SEC only games in TFL. Considering your logic, he should have been better considering teams ran against aTm more than any other team in the league. 358 attempts to be exact.

Dont move the goal posts.

That being said, in an over/under 4-3, the DTs keeping the OGs home dictates rushing defense efficiency, not the DEs. Your logic is flawed.

The goal posts aren't being moved. I am using your logic.

You stated that he had fewer sacks in league play because aTm was passed on a league low. So, he should have been better against the run and had more TFL since his defense led the league in times being run against.

Its pretty simple.

My logic is not flawed. Having experience playing in a 4-3 defense the DE's assignments give him ample opportunity to have TFL or sacks on most plays. Offensive guards will release to a LB that is covering them if the offense is facing a 4-3 defense. Most DT's in a 4-3 will initially be double teamed or at least chipped, giving the DE's one on one match ups on almost each and every play.
