but saying that 15 bama defense > 16 UGA defense means diddly squat.

but he didn't say that. he said Ole Miss is gonna beat the everloving shite out of the Georgia Bulldogs come September. that's what he meant, anyway.

if you can read, you'll see that that is his entire point.

"BAma last year couldn't stop us so why do you think you can this year?"

That's his point. And it's utterly stupid.

It may be what you interpreted from it, but clearly WG has quoted a point that he made which is invalid. As already stated, transitive properties in football just don't work. Otherwise, almost every team would have some way of claiming their share of a conference/national title unless the winner went undefeated. I mean, Florida beat Ole Miss, and Ole Miss beat Bama, so obviously Florida should have won the SECCG last year, right? Oh, but Bama beat LSU and LSU beat Florida so... Or even better. FSU beat the dog snot out of Florida last year, and Florida beat the everloving shite out of Ole Miss last season, but Ole Miss is supposed to contend and/or win that game this year?

Wait I have an idea... why not let the teams play each other and then figure out who wins or loses? fricking brilliant.
