Jerry Jones was one of the top criminal defense attorneys in north Louisiana before he was elected DA so he's quite capable of doing something else. Not sure what the office pays. Pretty decent I would think but not nearly what he could make in private practice. His wife is a doctor so they are pretty solid financially.
