That is huge. When is he eligible? How many years of eligibility? God I hope he can wrestle next year.

He'll have to sit out then have 3 years of eligibility

Should be a RS FR this year. #25 overall recruit in 2015. 21-8 redshirt campaign. Another year of adding weight will be awesome. Very athletic heavy. Lots of leg attacks with setups.

In wrestling, you can wrestle "unattached" at various tournaments, usually labelled "Opens".
Technically the school isn't involved, so entry fee's, travel, etc. are on the wrestlers dime. They are Technically just an individual like you or me signing up.
For example, I know some guys who wrestle at the UCM just to see if they can still hang with college kids. David Taylor (former 2X at Penn State) wrestled the Southern Scuffle this year unattached because he never got to in college.
