We visited Carollton once for a half day-just kinda rode around taking in the town and had lunch on the square there. Pretty cool little place.

Also been thinking about Peachtree City-seems to be a pretty sweet locale for the folks who live there.

Hadn't considered Gainesville, but that would be pretty close to some family and the job market has got to be good, along with hopefully the fishing.

I can give a few suggestions for the Atlanta area

1. With the exception of Peachtree City, stay away from the south side of Atlanta.
2. As mentioned above Carrollton is a nice area. I went to college there so I might can help you out a little with it. It's a small college town with great schools, a large hospital network in the town and surrounding area, and a few great restaurants. You're also a half hour away from Lake Wedowee which is located on the state line. Only negative is there is a little more crime in the area than the size of the town would suggest.
3. If you're open to the north side of Atlanta you might find a lot more of what you're looking for in that area. Kennesaw, Cumming, and Buford seem to fit exactly what you're describing.

We just moved to Kennesaw. The gf works in south of Atlanta near peach tree city. We actually looked all over the area by peach tree. Peach tree was extremely nice but a little bit of an older crowd than we were looking for.
