Johnson is a good coach and should help all of those numbers for Bama. Also, if the NCAA tourney wasn't so screwed up back in the '70s then Bama's 76 team would have made the Final Four. They were certainly good enough.

You know your basketball, high five to ya for remembering Bama in '76. Bama came into that tourney ranked number 3 in the nation if I recall correctly, and had to face number 1 Indiana in sweet 16...lost that game by five points, even out rebounded IU, better shooting percentage...but Bama's old nemesis reared it's head again in that game, where Bama lost at the free point line. If Bama had hit its season average FT percentage they would have won that game. But that is part of the game.

I'll never forget Pistol Pete putting on a record setting show in Coleman Coliseum. I miss Dale Brown, what a great coach and personality.
