I doubt that many people care about college softball.

Apparently you don't, but that's fine. Alabama fans certainly support, along with the other league teams'fans that regularly field good teams. For most of the past ten years Bama fans lead the nation in home attentance. This past weekend for example, Rhodes Stadium filled to capacity and overflow crowd allowed to sit on grassy areas around the field. Last year's world series in OKC broke all time attendance records and tv ratings.

I guess the adage is true that if a team wins, the fans will show up. I actually can name most of the starters for Bama's softball team, but can name only two players for Bama's baseball team. Those softball pitchers might throw underhanded, but it's a mean underhand, fast pitch often hitting around 75 mph, plus the distance from mound to plate is shorter than baseball.

Yes. And they care more about it than most schools. The capacity for the stadium is still less than 4000 and had only 3400 for the second game this weekend.

Here's the latest attendance figures I could find. Alabama and Arizona are the only two schools that averaged over 2k per game. Only 10 other schools averaged over 1k per game. So only 12 schools averaged more than 1k. 5 of those 12 schools were in the SEC.
