OT: B'ham/ UAB legend Fat Sam has died

Owner of Fat Sam's Subs right behind the UAB campus.
I know there's a bunch of Birmingham area people on this board and some of y'all have UAB ties.
If you've spent much time around the Southside of Birmingham over the last 26 years and haven't had one of his subs then you've at least hear of his restaurant. Luckily there are no plans to close, but it just won't be the same.

I don't think I've ever been in there. Been to Ranelli's a couple of times.

Fat Sam's is delicious. Didn't know the wreck was that bad

Yeah, he was supposed to recover but developed a blood clot earlier this week and went downhill fast. Very sad, whole family is good people.
