That Odom hire was really random. Was he even that good of a coordinator- hadn't he only been at Mizzou for one year maybe 2? I don't think it's really mizzou's fault for the hire though- I'm sure they would have been able to attract far more attractive coaches if those coaches weren't afraid of Black Lies Matter potentially lynching them or running them off campus.

How was the hire random? He had proven himself as an elite defensive coordinator at two different spots. It can be argued that the job he did last year was the best in the country. Fielding that type of defense with a non existent offense is almost unheard of. It's laughable how people praise the Smart hire but then go on to say Odom was a poor hire. I understand why, I do. Most people don't know much about CFB outside of their team. That's ok, but that's what it is.

Odom will turn out to be a great hire for us. He's not a flashy, cliche machine like Butch Jones. That's not his thing. He's a X and O savant that has succeeded at EVERY coaching stop he's ever had. One of the best defensive minds in all of CFB. He's a tough, blue collared competitor that fits the fabric of MIssouri perfectly.

Played at Mizzou: 1996-1999
Coached at Mizzou: 2003-2011, 2015-2016

I know it was easier to go on some diatribe about nonsense than to do a 10 second web search (Barry Odom) but getting facts straight generally helps with an argument.
