Brandon Harris last year had a higher passer efficiency rating than Trevor Knight has for his whole career at Oklahoma (or any single year at Oklahoma).
Brandon Harris was throwing to "elite" talent like Malchi Dupre, Travon Dural, and Tyron Johnson. His 3rd best receiver was Leonard Fournette. Throwing short passes to a running back is a great way to boost your stats. He was also working against teams that often had 8 or 9 defenders in the box.
Trevor Knight had one receiver in Sterling Sharpe. He also worked in 2 different offenses with different coordinators in a conference where almost every team lines up in the nickel and dime (harder to pass against).

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin.....
You discredit Harris because he went against "8 or 9 in defenders in the box", while simultaneously ignoring the fact that Knight had a 1700+ yard rusher in his only season as a starter.
You then use the nickle and dime excuse, while, again, ignoring the 1700+ yard rusher that Knight had. I hate to break it to you, but no one was lining up in dime on 1st or 2nd down when Samaje Perine was on the field in 2014.
