We let in Arkansas, South Carolina, and Mizzou... which are all far more questionable.

Mizzou is a AAU University in a more populated state than Oklahoma. Also they were willing to go to the SEC East division, which OU wouldn't do.

Not true. It would add the #45 and the #60 largest television markets into the SEC footprint. Currently the SEC has 21 of the Top 60 markets in its footprint... this would bring that up to 23.

All of that doesn't matter for any contract but the CBS one, which is WAY under market value anyway for the purpose of exposure. TV markets alone do jack for the SEC.

While it would not add a gigantic increase to the SEC Network subscription revenue

All it would add is people in the state of Oklahoma, which isn't many people.

it would add a CFB crazed state into the footprint that would pay off big in terms of ad revenue

The SEC Network makes most of its money off of subscribers fees not ad revenue.

MAYBE one day OU would be worth it if the SEC Network goes pure al-a-carte in some era when Big Cable is dead, but that transition is more than 10 years out.

There is no reason to add them until we get to that paradigm, which may never come.
