If you think and coach has any idea about everything his staff is doing that's crazy. It took the NCAA looking in to the improper benefit for Saban to get to the bottom and firer his assistant for improper visits. I guess he is failing as well.

In that instance, he did fail to run his program. You seem to think because I said a coach has to have knowledge of his program, that in turn it means he should be held responsible for all the actions of his staff or the people in the program. This is not some type of new concept. In many companies the boss/CEO is responsible for many of the employees' actions whether known or unknown to him or her. That doesn't mean they are a terrible boss/coach or that they should be punished. It is a reflection on the coach though.
