Agreed, but the comparisons should scare you.
Remember that Fran had the #8 recruiting class in 2005. The 2005 season didn't go so well.

Texas A&M is obviously not a nationally recognized brand with a historic repertoire of success like THE University of Texas. It's always been evident. You're comparing a school who has rarely amounted to much on the national landscape in 50 years to a school with two decades of top tier football talent with a national championship and multiple ten win seasons to show for it.
It's just apples vs. Oranges.
