I posted this on the main board too so I am not sure if it will get me more information here or not but a buddy and myself are planning to come from Nebraska to Oxford for the the UGA game. We are looking for bars to hit up and wanted to know about the Grove and what it is like and if we can carry around booze as long as it is in a solo cup?

Are most of the tailgates pretty open and inviting?

I did hear about the library bar but people were saying they charge like 80 dollars to get in?

The reason I posted this here too is on the main board a lot of people started to kind of slam Ole Miss a bit. We are just looking to enjoy the experience and have a good time!

I looked at the thread and you got pretty much all the info in there.

That's probably going to be the best game to go to. Both fanbases are pretty similar, it will be a big game and shouldn't be too much heckling.

You can carry any alcohol you want as long as it is in a solo cup. Bring a rolling cooler with a master lock. Tailgates are ridiculously inviting and you will have a good time.

How old are you? The library isn't really worth it wit so many options but it does get pretty Insane on football weekends. If you are young or into young puss... The library may be worth the outrageous cover ha.

Hope you end up coming and having a great time! First thing I would look into is hotels or a place to stay that weekend. They fill up fast and it will already be tough to find a place to find.

Depends on your age. Library is the famous one, but it will be $20-40 cover unless you get there really early (like 8:00 on Gameday weekends).
Boure has a great balcony
Rafters is the new up and coming Library and cover has not been out the arse.
City Grocery and The Burgundy Room are right by each other and are good bars for starting off the night.
If you're under 21, I'd recommend the Corner or the Levee.
Funky's is a good New Orleans style bar that serves decent pizza.
Roosters is a decent Blues Bar but is where Sophomores mostly hang out.

You can actually openly carry a whole bottle of bourbon and it's no big deal. If you bring an ice chest, put a lock on it and you'll be fine.

Highly. We love entertaining people from out of town. Hospitality is what the Grove is all about. You should have a blast. Tents all next to each other and it really is a gigantic cocktail party. Come eat, drink, and be merry.

The Grove is overrated. Way to much effort for what you get. I'll probably go by Wendy's then head to VHS.
