Not at all sanctimonious; I just know how to discern people who make mistakes from people who are victims.

I'll ask this; would it change your tune if it comes to light that he was blackmailed? Then, legally, he is a victim and legally there was a crime committed. Does it take it being that cut and dry for you to get over yourself and your sanctimonious views?
