JJ was suspended for half the season. He only got cleanup duty in the couple games before the GOTC when he came in for a struggling Lee and helped win the game (iirc he won SEC offensive player of the week for that game). Then y'all got the mulligan and the rest is history.

The GOTC was such a tense, tightly played game that I don't think you can credit anyone for winning or losing that game. Bama really outplayed LSU that night, field position and having a PK that was worth a shite decided that game.

I really enjoyed the drama of that game, but not the outcome. Every fricking play was crucial. You don't see games like that very much.

That was why I said "helped us win." He was a big part of that win though. We don't win if he doesn't come in for Lee. And yeah, that game was something special. My high school moved our homecoming dance to 3 pm just so everyone could watch that game. It's a bittersweet memory for LSU fans.
